After Clare’s rocky high school years she decided it was time to focus on herself for a couple years. Having kept her amazing grades she ended up attending Columnia college in New York for a journalism degree. All she wanted was to escape her past and the united states seemed the best way. All through college Clare kept to herself. No real good friends no real love interests. She was there for herself. And she did end up finding herself surprisingly. After not being able to find work she was forced back to Toronto the one place she was trying to avoid. She was soon much to her surprise accepted as a reporter for the Toronto Daily. Now being back with all her old friends she must face her face. Especially the green eyes dark haired boy she kept trying and trying to forget.

Imogen was finally out of Degrassi, out of her parents house and attending collage in New York. She went there right after she graduated from Degrassi, wanting to get on with her life, leaving everything behind. She was still her weird self, though she had put the cat ears away. Acting was still her passion, and she’s attending an art school, with drawing her second course. Even though she knew she was nothing to Elijah Goldsworthy in the past, he still crossed her mind constantly, and she was attempting to push him to the back of her mind at all times. She lives off campus, in a small apartment with just a dog and her art supplies. She’s attempting to get over the thoughts of Eli, but will that ever be able to happen? Could it be possible for her to find some one else that made her feel so passionate? Who knows. She’s tried to date other boys, boys from her school, but they were nothing compared to what she had imagined Eli would be. As a sophomore in her college, she has passing grades. Even preforms in local plays, usually as the lead. Now she’s leaving her sophomore year, and coming back to Toronto to check up.She found that she missed home and wanted to just feel happy for once

Katie was accepted at the University of Toronto where she studied journalism. Now that she is in college, she has lost touch with many people that she went to high school with but she remained friends with Marisol. Katie faced a lot of difficulty in terms of her bulimia and relapsed in her freshman year of college. With therapy and the support of other students around her, she was able to beat it. She still struggles with it but it is less of an issue to her. In her free time, she has been coaching a nearby middle school’s soccer team and participating in The Core. She graduates in May and is looking forward to getting into the career track of journalism.

Once Eli finished Degrassi, he left Clare and everyone behind, determined to start out fresh. It took him a summer to convince Cece and Bullfrog that he could go away to school that was not only out of the city, but out of the country as well. After getting the clear from his therapist and finally from his mother and father, they made the trip to New York University to get him settled in. Daily calls to his mother kept her sane and what kept Eli sane was his major: creative writing. It seemed that he’d found his niche in this school and made friends faster than he’d ever done so back in Toronto. Soon into his first year at University, he got into a relationship with a girl named Jane. The relationship didn’t last more than a year and Eli decided to focus on his writing. After being the playwright for six of NYU’s eight plays put on while Eli attended the school, he graduated with honors and made his way back to Toronto to the arms of his mother and father. Now he’s working on his first novel and is trying to find a publisher that takes amateurs, even though he’d been published in magazines before. Being back in Toronto reminds him of the girls he’d been with – Clare and Imogen – and he’d like to see them again but has a fear of reopening the can of worms that may or may not lead to his downfall. Eli still struggles with being happy and, though his bi-polar disorder is under control, he still has his bouts of depression and mania that he doesn’t tell anyone about. He wants to be better and he doesn’t want – or need – his parents to worry.
